Santa Shuffle

This annual fundraiser for the Salvation Army takes place in Shubie Park . Kit pickup is available at the Bedford Running Room on Thursday, November 30th from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m and the Halifax Running Room store on Friday, December 1 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm . On site pickup is also available the day of the race at the Fairbanks Center before 10:00 a.m.

Red Nose Run in support of the QEII Foundation

Help lead the way for Santa Claus at Halifax's 3rd Annual Red Nose Run in support of the QEII Foundation, the only nighttime fun-run through downtown Halifax guided by hundreds of blinking red noses! The Red Nose Run is a 2.5km fun run open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. $5 from each entry will support the QEII Foundation and help transform care at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. Starting just prior to The Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights, the Red Nose Run takes place in downtown Halifax on Saturday, November 18th at 6:00PM. Dress in your finest holiday costume and don your blinking red nose. Run or walk in front of an audience of more than 100,000 spectators as they cheer you on, eagerly awaiting the parade and Santa’s arrival! The Red Nose Run begins on Upper Water Street, travels over the Cogswell interchange to Barrington Street, turns right onto Spring Garden Road, left onto South Park Street, and finally right onto University Avenue where the finish line awaits. As part of the Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights, the Red Nose Run will be filmed on Eastlink TV from Parade Square on Barrington Street. Entry fees: $35.00 per person ($5 from each entry will be donated to the QEII Foundation in support of the QEII Health Sciences Centre). Registration for kids under 12 is $10.00. Please note: Registered children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult. Each participant will receive: - Official Race Bib - Official Red Nose Run Fleece Headband - Blinking Red Nose - Commemorative Holiday Ornament (Medal) Registration closes end of day Friday, November 10. Bert Corkcum Memorial 5-miler

This race is hosted by the Bluenose Striders Running Club of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Registration is on the morning of the event only, so arrive early, by 9:30 am. The race is a single loop course following the same scenic route through rural Nova Scotia for more than 50 years.There will be one water stop on the course, The event is low key and informal. To offer this low entry fee of $7 we do NOT issue T-Shirts. Draw prizes.

Dartmouth Natal Day Road Race

Welcome to the 111th Edition of the Dartmouth Natal Day Road Races. Our event is one of the oldest road races in North America. Competitive runners, recreational runners and walkers are all encouraged to participate. We take pride in being a fun and affordable event for the whole family. The course is a two mile loop and runners have the choice of running a two mile or a six mile race.
Both the 6 Mile and 2 Mile races are on the 2017 Run Nova Scotia Road Race Series and the 6 Miler is also on the 2017 Run Nova Scotia Performance Series. A $5 discount is provided for RNS members.

RUN the MACPASS Mile

MACPASS Miles is a one mile race across the Macdonald Bridge in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It is a fun and free event for the whole family. There will be four races: women, men, girls and boys.

After a two year hiatus to complete a major bridge reconstruction project, the Big Lift, Halifax Harbour Bridges is pleased to welcome back runners to the bridge to run the one mile from Halifax to Dartmouth. The centre span of the bridge is now two metres higher than it was so be prepared to be challenged.

Windsor 5K

Join us on Saturday, July 29th for the 16th Windsor 5k Fun Run!
Tour our beautiful little town as you run through the streets of the little town of big firsts! Every finisher will receive a medal and you have the option of purchasing an event tshirt for $20.
Stay after the race for a HUGE friends and family pool party at the Hants Aquatic Centre from 11am-12pm (no charge for pool party!)
This year we are pleased to offer childcare from 8:30-10am for a $5/family fee to be paid at check-in.(Please let us know how many children you require care for, and their ages.)

Oxford Strawberry Festival

A flat and fast course through the streets and trails of Oxford, Nova Scotia. Markers every kilometer. Water stations at 2k & 4k, so 5k participants will have access to water twice, and 10k participants four times. Children aged 12 and under as of race date may register for free, which does not include a shirt. Shirts may be purchased for $15.00.  There will be a few draw prizes available for all registered participants.  And everyone who registers gets our newly designed medal.

Predicta 10K

November 20: HRC Predicta 10K. Leave your timing device at home! You predict your time, go for the 10K run, and compare your actual finish time to your predicted time. The person with the closest estimate to their actual wins a prize. If you want to “pre-register”, please send Randall your predicted time before the 20th. No pressure, but past winners have been within 10 seconds of their predicted time! The route will be announced the morning of the run.
